What's In My Shower?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had their Instagram feed flooded with shelfies lately. Gorgeous photos of skincare and body care products, all stacked up on display. I've been completely smitten by them for months, but that's so not what my bathroom cabinets look like.

Along with medicine cabinets and beautiful shelving, I've also been seeing shower shelfies pop up. It made me want to share the products that are currently in my shower. And honestly, it's not glam or luxurious. Most of the products can be found at a supermarket or chemist. And my shower only has one thin shelf, so it's definitely not overflowing with things I don't even reach for.

So I wanted to run you through what I currently have in my shower. First up are the Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky Shampoo and Conditioner*. No matter how many beautiful salon brands I try, I always seem to come back to Head and Shoulders. There is something about the Smooth and Silky (as well as the Dry Scalp Care) that just really work for me. It probably has something to do with the fact that I'm super low maintenance with my hair, so I don't really need products that work miracles. Just reliable products that keep my hair looking healthy and my scalp free of flakes.

I don't like using bar soap in the shower, so I love body washes. I've almost finished the Mango Shower Gel by The Body Shop. I used this throughout the summer and it was so nice. Mango is one of my favourite fruits so I'll definitely have to pick this up again soon. To replace it I picked up the Thank You Body Wash in the Botanical Mint and Spring Flowers scent. It's fresh and very clean smelling, my boyfriend also really likes it.

Another product I've been using from The Body Shop is the Coconut Exfoliating Cream Body Scrub. I use it all over my arms and legs every now and then and it really keeps my skin from being itchy and dry. It also smells like a coconut cupcake, so you know, that's a positive. I'm also loving the Alpha Keri Supple Skin Shower and Body Oil*. I use this every time I shave my legs, as well as after I use a dry body brush.

For my face, I've been using this cleanser from First Aid Beauty. It's gentle, and the perfect follow up to my Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm which I use before showering. About once a week or so I will follow up cleansing with the Glow Lab Brightening Exfoliator. I don't like rough physical exfoliators, so I like how gentle this one is.

So that's my current shower line-up. It's not the most visually appealing group of products, but they all work well for me and my boyfriend. What is your shower set up like? Do you go for practicality or aesthetics?

  1. I prefer body washes too and always change them up. Need to revisit The body Shop collections as they do have some gems x

    1. They really do have a lot of stand out products! x

  2. I only used products from TBS, the rest is new to me, I have to admit that I do not care about bodycare that much as I care for my hair or face so I usually buy shower gels from some cheap brands or if the discount is nice. I should care more about it :)

  3. I have heard really good things about First Aid Beauty. There are a few products of theirs that I would like to try. x
