Empties - Products I've Used Up | 003

Hello! Welcome to my last empties post of the year. I had quite a few products saved up and ready to write about this time around. There is a mix of skincare, haircare and makeup in this one, so you'll get a little bit of everything. I've been meaning to write this post for a couple of weeks, but December has been so busy! My partner and I got a puppy too, which has added to the craziness.

I'm not sure if it's my taste that has changed in the past few months or if I've just become more critical. But I have noticed that there are quite a few products in this post (and just in my collection as a whole) that I don't love as much as I used to. My skin isn't quite as forgiving as it used to be, and along with finding things that work so well for me, I feel like I don't need to use products that are 'good' when there are so many 'greats' out there.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum It was a little luxury in my morning routine, but I'm still yet to really see a difference from a Drunk Elephant product. For how expensive it is I was hoping to see an improvement in my skin. Would I repurchase? No.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation (Siberia) This foundation gets so much love, and to start with I really liked this one too. It's one of the best colour matches I've had in a foundation, but a few months ago I kind of fell out of love with how it looks on my skin. Would I repurchase? I can see myself trying it again sometime in the future, but not right now.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara Another product that people rave about, but I didn't really see it as anything outstanding. It's a good mascara, but not my favourite. Would I repurchase? If it was on sale, but not full price.

Mac Prep + Prime Fix+ Is it even an empties post without my beloved Fix+? I always have at least one bottle in my collection. Would I repurchase? Always.

Mac Pro Longwear Concealer (NC15) I've always liked this concealer, but in the last few months I've really fell in love with it. It doesn't look dry or cakey, covers nicely and lasts all day. Would I repurchase? Yes. Already opened another bottle.

The Ordinary Rose Hip Seed Oil This stuff is so good. Good enough that I've even got my boyfriend using it of a night time. I keep this on my bedside table and rotate it between a few other oils I have. Would I repurchase? I actually picked up a backup of this just before I ran out.

Swisse Manuka Honey Mask Love this mask. If other detoxifying masks are too harsh on your skin, then give this one a go. It helps to clear my skin without drying it out. Would I repurchase? Definitely.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk My all time favourite dry shampoo! This stuff works so well for my hair. Gets rid of oil and itchiness, doesn't leave a heavy cast and smells clean. Would I repurchase? I have a few others to work through, but I'll definitely be getting this again.

Khiel's Ultra Facial Cream I always have one moisturiser on the go to use before I put makeup on in the morning. This one has an incredibly light texture and kept my skin hydrated. I prefer a bit of a thicker consistency, but this one is still great. If you have oily skin I think you might really love this one. Would I repurchase? I'm thinking about going to Bali in 2018 and I think this one would be perfect for a more humid climate, so yes.

Beautyblender The last couple of Beautyblenders I've had have gotten moldy. I wash them regularly and keep them in a dry place so I'm not really sure what's going on with them. This one should have lasted me longer but I saw a few little green spots on it. Would I repurchase? I've realised that I prefer the Real Techniques sponges. I have a few backups to use but after that I think I'll stick with RT.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mini My all-time favourite mascara. It gives my lashes a tonne of volume while keeping them separated. Would I repurchase? Definitely! I have too many others on rotation at the moment, but I'll pick another up once I finish more.

Stila One Step Correct This primer really was a joy to use. It neutralised my skin and made a nice base for foundation. It isn't my favourite ever, but it was good. Would I repurchase? Maybe.

Mac Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Primer (Radiant Yellow) I love this primer! Definitely a favourite of mine. It keeps my makeup looking good all day and feels good on my skin. Plus, you get 50ml, which is 20ml more than in most primers, so it's so worth the money. Would I repurchase? Already have.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundatin Sample (008) I'd seen a bunch of positive reviews of this so I wanted to test out a sample. This foundation is amazing. It looks natural but has a lot of coverage and has a satin finish. Definitely one of my favourite makeup discoveries this year. Would I repurchase? I picked up a full size and can't put it down.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel This is one of my holy grail products. My brow hairs are long and quite thick, so without a strong gel they will fall all over the place through the day. This one keeps them in place without having them feel crunchy or gross. Plus, it lasted me an entire year. Would I repurcahse? I had a backup ready to go.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water This stuff gets my makeup off really nicely. I also like to use this before a warm washcloth in the morning. Gentle and effective, so nice. Would I repurchase? Yes. I have others I like just as much, but I'll definitely pick it up again at some point.

Batiste Dry Shampoo (Rose Gold) Another dry shampoo. I don't like the Batiste ones as much as the Klorane, but they are still nice and get the job done. Would I repurchase? Yes.
