My Favourite Nude Lipsticks

Is there anything better than finding your perfect nude lipstick? A shade you can throw on with any look, day or night and just know it will look good? Not for this girl. Does that make me a little boring? Maybe. Basic? Probably. I spent a good half hour sitting with my lipsticks, narrowing down the list to my absolute favourite nudes. From sheer to opaque. Glossy to matte. These are the lipsticks that end up in my handbag for weeks at a time.

I probably could have had this list be twice as long, but at that point they would all start looking the same. The ones I've chosen all appear pretty similar, but the difference in undertone, finish and lasting power set them apart from each other. I tend to gravitate towards peach or brown toned nudes, but a couple of pinky nudes made this list too. I have fair skin and neutral (leaning yellow) undertones and all of these work so well on my skin!

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in the shade "Kim KW" is a pale, peachy warm pink. I wear it on it's own, with liners or on top of other shades to lighten them up. It has a creamy consistency that is comfortable, but will definitely need reapplying throughout the day. It's a great pick for days when you want all the focus to be on your eyes.

Most similar to Kim KW is the Tom Ford Lips & Boys Lip Colour in the shade Alexander. It's less peachy, but just as light. It's the creamiest of all the lipsticks mentioned here, so it definitely won't last through a meal. That's not something that ever deters me though, because I tend to shy away from super matte lips.

My most recent nude lipstick obsession has been the Nudestick Lip + Cheek Pencil in the shade Whisper. After hearing a few of my favourite Youtubers rave about the line I had to try something from them. After swatching them in-store, I couldn't not pick up Whisper! The pencil makes the product easy to apply, with one swipe giving full opacity. It lasts a solid 5 hours on me and maintains a beautiful demi-matte finish. This shade is the perfect MLBB on me, I get more compliments wearing this lipstick than any other.

Mac lipsticks are a such a staple in my makeup collection. So much that I probably could have had this list featuring nothing but them. I chose the shade Jubilee because it's not one that you hear everyone talking about all the time, but it is so beautiful! It's a Lustre finish, so it's very sheer and looks almost glossy on the lips. On me, it's a warm peachy brown nude. Being so sheer makes it a more suited to a wider range of skin tones than Kim KW or Alexander. I love pairing it with a sunkissed skin look, tonnes of bronzer and a dewy foundation.

I've been raving about the Lancome Juicy Shakers for what feels like my whole life at this point. The pigment infused lip oil hydrates your lips while giving them a subtle tint. Piece of Cake is another gorgeous MLBB shade. This is the ultimate handbag lip product for me. Easy to apply on the go, won't dry out your lips and the colour goes with everything. Definitely a product to try out if you're into the whole minimal/no makeup-makeup trend.

Last on my list is the Tarte Colour Splash Hydrating Lipstick in Rum Punch (wow, long name). It is a pink toned beige colour that is so flattering on my skin. It's very pigmented, lasts through the day and remains comfortable. This formula has become one of my all-time favourites, so to have such a pretty nude in their range is perfect.

  6. Okay I think I need all of these? But especially Tom Ford because duh Tom Ford, and the Lancome juicy shaker! I don't own any, but hear good things. Same goes for Charlotte Tilbury. I don't know why I don't own any of her lipsticks because I constantly hear such good things about them.
