Empties - Products I've Used Up | 002

It's time for another empties post! I last posted one at the end of June and I have already built up quite a little pile of finished products. I loved writing my first one and I've actually found myself referring back to it a few times when deciding on certain purchases. Hopefully you find these mini reviews helpful so that I'm not just writing them to please myself!

Clinique Pep-Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser I reviewed this back in April and I have used it almost daily since. I use it at night in the shower after cleansing and I have found it really works for my skin. It's very gentle and a complete joy to use. Would I repurchase? Definitely. I have a couple of others I want to try to get through first, though.

Glam Glow Youthmud Mask I hate this stuff. This is the only product on this list that isn't actually empty, but I couldn't even stand to finish it. My skin isn't really sensitive, but it could not handle this mask. It stung the entire time it was on and it was so rough to remove that it felt like it was scratching my skin. Would I repurchase? No. No way.

Mac Prep + Prime Fix + This was in my last empties post and not a thing has changed. I love this stuff and always will. Would I repurchase? Half way through the bottle I repurchased!

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream I've had this tube for about a year now and I can't believe it's lasted me so long. I use this stuff all the time. It has a dewy finish but lasts all day, looks natural but covers all my redness. Plus having 50+ SPF has made it my go-to for the weekend. Would I repurchase? Already have.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask Another product that was in my last empties post and is also a holy grail product for me. It kept my skin free of dry patches all winter and it smells like apricot and mango, so that's a bonus for me. Would I repurchase? Until the end of time.

Mecca Cosmetica Oriental Rose Transforming Hand Cream I have a few of these that I got around Christmas and I've enjoyed them. The scent is a little strong for my taste, but they do a good job of keeping my hands hydrated. Would I repurchase? No. I like them, but there are other hand creams that I prefer.

Mac Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Primer I really love this primer. It's another holy grail product for me. It blurs my pores, keeps my skin plump and my makeup on my face all day. Plus, at 50ml you get more than most other primers, so it lasts a lot longer. Would I repurchase? I already have and I can't get enough of it!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer This was a sample from a Mecca Beauty Loop Box. I love the Smashbox primers, and this one is no different. Would I repurchase? No, but only because I prefer their Pore Filling Primer that I already have.

Kiehl's Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream I know there was a little controversy surrounding this moisturiser, with it suddenly vanishing from the internet. Apparently there was an issue with it causing irritation. I had already used a decent amount of this when I heard about it, so I emailed Kiehl's and they told me that if I hadn't had a reaction then it was safe to continue use. This stuff was a little pot of magic, so I can't wait for them to resolve the issue and bring it back! Would I repurchase? I would. I ended up liking it more and more each time I used it.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater The perfect little pick me up. I basically use this spray 4 or 5 times a day. Makeup or not, I can't put it down. Would I repurchase? Yep! I think I'm going to get the large size next time. I run through the smaller size way too fast.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer Okay, so for starters I never noticed how long that name is! I've used multiple bottles of this concealer and I did really love it. While I do like how natural it looks on the skin, the coverage isn't enough to hide my dark circles anymore. Would I repurchase? I might. I want to try a few different low coverage concealers first to see if I like any more than this. I want something light for the weekends but I'm not sure if this is for me anymore.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara This mascara is pretty much the love of my life at this point. It gives me volume, lasts all day and doesn't clump or flake off. Would I repurchase? I have a mini open at the moment and will be buying another when I'm done with that.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm I never want to take my makeup off any other way. It's gentle, works quickly and doesn't leave a film on my skin. This, paired with the Pep-Start Exfoliating Cleanser have actually made me enjoy the process of taking off my makeup. Would I repurchase? Definitely! I am itching to pick up a new tub.

The Ordinary Buffet After seeing what felt like everyone on earth raving about The Ordinary, I picked up a few of their products. Their Buffet is an anti-ageing serum that I have really been loving. I have noticed that the lines around my eyes are smaller and that there haven't been any new ones since I started using it. Would I repurchase? I just opened my replacement bottle yesterday!

Drunk Elephant T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum from this set. I did enjoy this, but I really didn't notice anything all that different about my skin. I know that for some people this product is a total game changer, but it just wasn't for me. I'm thinking about trying the Lactic Acid from the Ordinary in place of this. Would I repurchase? No. It does feel nice on but for the price I was hoping for more than that.

Pixi Glow Tonic This was another product that was so hyped up that I had to try it. I got the 100ml size to try and I really like it. It's a gentle glycolic exfoliant that has really brightened up my skin. It's given me a healthy radiance that my skin hasn't ever had before. Would I repurchase? I've just picked up a bigger size and am so ready to put it all over my face.

L'oreal Pure Clay Mask: Detoxifying & Brightening This one was a really pleasant surprise. I use it on my chin, nose and cheeks about once a week and it always leaves my skin feeling so incredibly clean. Would I repurchase? Yep! I really love using this.

Thanks for reading! Have you recently finished up anything? Empties posts are by far my favourite to read and write, so I'm sure it won't be long until the third installment x

  5. Wow you finished a good amount of stuff in a few months! I'm also not a big fan of the glamglow youthmud mask. I'm also irritated that they still package their stuff in jars because it's so expensive and dries out. I also love fix+ and the clinique take the day off! Both are staples as far as I'm concerned ;) I recently got the UD concealer but I'm not sure how much I like it yet lol. If you're looking for a concealer with a bit of lighter coverage, I would recommend the bare minerals one with the wand. It still provides a nice amount of coverage and it's very hydrating!

  6. SO many fabulous products! I love the Clinique Balm, CC+ cream, Mario Badescu and Pixi. And I am right there with you about GlamGlow, I never need to worry about products upsetting my skin. But this mask was so uncomfortable.

    Love your style x

  7. So many great empties! I'm loving the photography in this post as well.

I have the UD concealer and agree the coverage is a bit light for me. I really want to try the IT Cosmetics CC cream but Sephora never have the shade Fair in stock. What shade are you? I'm going to Singapore next week and hope to pick it up then!

I also want to pick up the small Pixi Glow Tomic as well!
